Andra Day and Andi Matichak
Cassandra Monique Batie aka Andra Day, is an American R&B/Soul singer-songwriter. Alongside receiving a Grammy Award and Golden Globe Award she has also been nominated for an Academy Award. Andra Days is an impressive performer who writes stunningly. Not only is she a master of the throwback genre of R&B, her musical sources are blues and gospel jazz. Andra Day's debut Cheers to Fall (2015) has topped the hiphop/R&B charts, and her contributions towards Marshall (2017) earned the singer the Grammy Award and Academy Award. Amen, Make Your Troubles Away and The United States Versus Billie Holiday all have singles that are creating anticipation ahead of the release of her new album. Andra, born Cassandra Monique Batie of Edmonds Washington was the resident from San Diego and metropolitan San Diego where she was a student and sang at her church. She switched her attention from the contemporary R&B to pop following her graduation, but eventually was again drawn to soul and jazz singers she was a fan of when she was a kid. Kai Millard Morris recorded a show of Day which she later shared with her husband Stevie Wonder some of Day's songs. Motown legend Adrian Gurvitz was introduced to Day by the Motown legend. Day's following on YouTube increased rapidly after she teamed up together with Gurvitz, Jeffrey Evans and Buskin. Day later got a major label contract with Warner Bros. The track was soon received by DJs and they began playing it on the radio. In the year 2015, following her signing in 2015 with Warner Bros. Records she began working on her debut album, Cheers To The Fall featuring Adrian Gurvitz. It featured the track Rise Up which became an anthem for social justice movements across the globe. Day was awarded two Grammy nominations including Best R&B Album. In 2019 she released her sophomore album The United States vs. Billie Holiday a concept album that tells the story of the legendary jazz vocalist. In the same year, she appeared in a biopic of Holiday's life, The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021). Andi Mathichak was born the United States. She first appeared on television shows such as Orange Is the New Black or Blue Bloods, before debuting in horror movies Halloween in addition to sequels. Andi Matichak, an American actress, was born in Framingham, Massachusetts on 3 May 1994.
