Ali MacGraw
Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American model actor author designer and activist for animal rights. The actress has won praise by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969), and The Getaway, (1972). She grew up in an artist family from New York and wanted to pursue a career in art. At first she began as an photographer's assistant. Then her work changed into directing and modeling. Her name was highlighted in her two first films and received Golden Globe Award for Most Popular newcomer. MacGraw was a worldwide star after her 1970 movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. The film was recognized as the most successful female box-office star of the world after only three films. Her handprints, autograph and footprints were immortalized in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. Additionally, to The Getaway Convoy Players she also starred in the television series The Winds of War. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw's been married three different times.
